Something in the air?

Now I know it's the silly season but I have been a real ditzy cow today. I don't know what's going on. It all started yesterday. Last night I asked my eldest to drop a couple of cards off to two of my ladies. Well............. she knocked all the cards down but did manage to pick them up - or so I thought- Before I went out this morning I checked the pile and one of the ladies cards was there so thinking eldest had it popped the other one in to them, thought I'd best drop off the other. She didn't have it. Went home and found the card which had fallen under my sewing box. Had to take some tops back so thought hey I'll pop the other card in.

Got straight off the bus and went in their shop then went to see eldest (ED)where I was greated by gasps of OH NO . I wondered what had happened and looked down to discover the middle stone from my coat brooch had come out and I had lost it. Retraced my steps from this trip and earlier and no one had my stone. When I got on the bus to come home discovered my ring was missing. Was completely down, close to tears thinking what else could possibly happen.

I ge home and luckily in the hedge just outside the house I found the stone from my brooch. Get indoors and phone eldest child incase the ring had come off when I dropped off her drink. I just go to say to her I think I've lost my ring when I spot it on top of the window ledge. her response was Have you been wearing a wig for the past 40 years? I didn't understand and then she said I'm sure you're really blonde (which she is). It's even worse because yesterday I took my knitting with me and went to do some in the car whilst waiting for OH when I discovered a needle missing. Waited until I got home and then looked all around where I had last knitted it. Got on the phone to HobbyCraft and asked if they had found a Pony Pearl Blue Knitting Needle he looked and said one hadn't been handed in. I then asked if he would take my name and number incase one was handed in. Just started to give him my details, looked down and what did I see? Yes the very knitting needle I was looking for. I just started laughing and said I'd found it and he was fine on the phone but ED said he must have thought you were a right twit.

Am thinking of staying in bed now until Christmas.
